Hungary Eye Info Kft was established by Karl Peter Kirk, who has been active in Central Europe since 1987, first as a journalist and later as an investigator. He holds an MSc in Criminology from the Institute of Criminal Justice Studies at the University of Portsmouth and an MA in Central Politics and History from the School of Slavonic and East European Studies in London. Additionally, he has pursued PhD-level studies in Psychology in Hungary has a background in Central European and German history at the Humboldt University in Berlin, as well as a BA (Hons) in Humanities from Teesside University. Karl dedicated ten years to Hungarian Radio's English broadcasts, including two years as head of English broadcasting, before contributing to British dailies through the news agency Central European News in Vienna. Prior to founding Hungary Eye, he served as correspondent for the Associated Press in Budapest In 2023, Hungary Eye Bt was closed, leading to the formation of Hungary Eye Info Kft.

Karl is certified and licensed as a professional investigator in Hungary and also holds certification from the prestigious German training centre ZAD in Berlin. He takes part regularly in seminars and events in Hungary, Germany, and the UK, and through the International Federation of Private Detective Associations (IKD). He has also served on the executive board of the Hungarian Detective Association (HDA).
